The Williams Lake Youth Soccer Association (WLYSA) is hosting the UNBC Timberwolves women’s soccer team with support from the city of Williams Lake event hosting grant.
Clinics will also be held Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, with the U13-plus age group from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the U7-U12 age group from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. All players are welcome to join the UNBC Timberwolves women's soccer team on the Esler Soccer Fields for a clinic focusing on their favourite drills and skill-building exercises for each age group. These clinis are free but pre-registration is required.
Bring the family for a fun Friday outing with food and university-level soccer right here in Williams Lake. Entry is by donation to WLYSA. Game night is Friday, August 23, 6:30 p.m. start.
A girls summer soccer camp, She Plays Soccer, is set run Aug. 26-29. The all-female coaching team aims to build the confidence and self-esteem both on and off the field of young female athletes through soccer training.
The camp is open for U6 - U12 and U13 - U18 girls age groups.

In other WLYSA news, the Four Rivers Co-op supported WLYSA in building an outhouse at the Esler Soccer Complex this past spring, said Alexis Walch, WLYSA administrative coordinator.
"It turned out to be very timely and necessary as our well and indoor facilities were not operational for almost the entire spring season," said Watch.
WLYSA Fall Season
WLYSA has two offerings for some players this fall. Watch said WLYSA has their regular outdoor season being hosted at Esler Soccer Complex for ages U6 – U16, and they have secured space to practice at the Quesnel Indoor Facility for ages U11 – U18.
