The Williams Lake Ladies Soccer League is gearing up for the season which gets underway Monday, May 5.
Anyone who is interested in checking the league out is invited to an exhibition game on Monday, April 28 at 7 p.m.
"We play at the Esler fields," said Ashleigh Lyons, league member.
Normally there are four teams of seven players, made up of all skill levels.
"We do a draft and place players evenly on the teams," Lyons said.
She grew up playing house, rep and eventually ladies soccer in Williams Lake and continued in Vancouver when she was going to school there.
"I love outdoor soccer because it's a group of ladies playing together, getting exercise, socializing and having fun," she said. "The game itself is pretty chill."
Presently she is coaching a U18 Rep Girls Team and said the team has been practicing for three weeks already at the Sacred Heart School field.
"We are moving up to Esler next week because the fields are open three weeks earlier this year."
She has also coached U5 and U6s.
Registration is available until Wednesday, April 30, online with more information available at the Women's Ladies Soccer League Facebook page.
