Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club has groomed and set track at Bull Mountain and skiers are able to get on snow as of Dec. 19, 2024.

Winter has finally come to Bull Mountain, and the Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club is ready to welcome skiers - for now.

With temperatures forecast to rise, the club is inviting skiers up to enjoy the trails with the fresh snow.

A post on Dec. 19, 2024 said the ski area at Bull Mountain is open and the majority of the trails are groomed and track set.

"Early season conditions exist with some bare spots," said the club's Facebook page post.

The lodge is open until 6 p.m. and a fire has been lit to warm skiers.

"Come up soon because the forecast is for some warm weather for the weekend," states the club's post.

The road up to the ski area and the parking lots are reported as not bad on the morning of Dec. 19, with all-wheel drive, and both the road and parking lot are expected to be plowed by the afternoon.

Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club maintains a ski area and lodge on Bull Mountain, 15 km north of Williams Lake, with 28 km of nordic ski trails which generally include both set classic ski tracks, and packed skate ski tracks, and 11 km of snowshoe trails.

There are 3.5 km of lit trails for skiing after dark until 10 p.m. as well.

The club also offers both lessons and rentals, when available. An adult day pass for 2024 is $15 and in 2025 will increase to $20, with both family and youth rates available.

The club is hosting a social fondue night on Dec. 20 and a community coaching course on Jan. 11 and 12.
