The Williams Lake Bullets Speed Skating team raced in the Coyote Cup in Kamloops on Mar. 2 and earned themselves the trophy.
Hosted by the Kamloops Long Blade speed skaters, coach Nancy Jalbert said the event is one of the best races for new and young players to learn the love of racing.
The team’s hard work on the ice paid off, reported Jalbert, as many Bullets beat their personal best times.
Racers managed to bring home three gold medals, one silver and three bronze.
These great results are what earned the team the Coyote Cup trophy with the top out-of-town team for points.
Everett Quint, only three years old, went with the team, Preston Sigworth achieved provincial times for next year, Kara Fontin and Kayden Ford-Jalbert also brought home first place ribbons in their bucket race division.
