In Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action, the Williams Lake Mustangs lost two close home games Nov. 22 and 23.
On Saturday, Nov. 23 their game against the 100 Mile House Wranglers saw the Wranglers winning 5-4 in overtime, with Wranglers Matthew Balderston scoring the overtime goal.
No one scored in the first period.
The Wranglers would finally break the trend, scoring their first goal 4:28 minutes into the second period.
Just over a minute later, Mustangs Asher Lucas scored during a power play.
It was Asher's 13th goal of the season.
JP Desabrais would then score for the Mustangs, putting them in the lead.
Retaliating, Wranglers Ayden Wang scored, followed by JP Desabrais scoring again, making it his 17th goal in the season and regaining the lead.
The Wranglers were trailing 3-2 after the second period but with a pair of goals by Jaden Rusznak they jumped ahead leading 4-3.
Mustangs Declan Pocock then tied the game, pushing it into overtime.
Wranglers goalie Jaidyn Shaw made 39 saves and Mustangs goalie Alex Jessey made 47 saves.
On Friday night the Mustangs lost 5-3 to the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
Mustangs Logan Hauk scored two goals and Declan Pocock scored one in a power-play.
Ryder Ponto made 32 saves for the Grizzlies and Evan Leggett made 31 saves for the Mustangs.
On Tuesday, Nov. 26 the Mustangs will travel to play against the Quesnel River Rush.
Puck drops at 7 p.m.
