Fuller Lake Skating Club honours skaters at annual awards banquet

More than 30 skaters recognized for excellence, improvement and spirit

The Fuller Lake Skating Club capped off a successful season on April 27 with its annual awards banquet, celebrating the achievements of skaters across all levels of the club’s programs.

Held at St. Mary’s Parish in Ladysmith, the event brought together more than 80 skating families for a potluck dinner and awards ceremony recognizing 36 young skaters for their talent, dedication and growth on the ice.

The CanSkate program — designed for beginner skaters — recognized outstanding participants in several categories:

PreCan of the Year: Bradley Nicholl

Most Improved PreCan Skaters: Finn Gingersty and Athena Harris

Most Enthusiastic PreCan Skater: Flora Vanderwerff

CanSkater of the Year: Levi Hillier

Most Improved CanSkaters: Daniel Pilgrim and Klara Falk

CanSkate Sportsperson of the Year: Camryn Sacht

In the club’s figure skating stream, awards were presented to skaters who demonstrated excellence, progress and club spirit.

Junior Skater of the Year: Mila Mueller

Most Improved Junior Figure Skater: Brooke Thomsen

Junior Figure Sportsperson of the Year: Emma Burt

Intermediate Figure Skater of the Year: Caitlin Varcoe

Most Improved Intermediate Figure Skater: Isla Fink

Intermediate Figure Sportsperson of the Year: Ella Stuart
