Athletes competed in the first-ever Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA)-sanctioned tournament held in Williams Lake on Saturday, May 10.
Fifty players, more than half from out of town, joined locals for The Battle in Botianio, where they each played two rounds at the popular downtown course.
Ken Heidema of Williams Lake got an ace on the ninth hole.
His was the only one of the tournament, which meant he took home a cash prize.

They said they are already planning the next one.
