The second annual exhibition game between the Gibraltar Mine Copper Kings and the Xatsull Goldenfeathers starts on Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m.

In the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex on Rink 1, the two teams will face off for what organizer Dustin Phillips is calling Hockey Day in the Puddle.

The game between friendly rivals has turned into an annual affair since the success of last year’s game and he hopes this year will be even better.

Phillips said he has collected a number of gift baskets to raffle off, there will be a 50/50 raffle and a grand prize of a trip for two to Vancouver is also going to be given away. Admission is by donation.

All proceeds from the fundraising event will go to supporting the Goldenfeathers to help them travel to a tournaments, including one in Vernon, and the team continue to travel back and forth for league play in the Williams Lake recreational league.

Phillips said the team has come a long way in the last year, since playing in the recreational league in town.
