It is a School District 27 Physical Health and Education locally developed course in aquatics.
“We have put our aquatic students into workplace situations immediately in the community at the pool by offering them some of their life guarding courses in the aquatics program,” said instructor Chad Webb.
Webb noted some of the senior high students are teaching elementary students how to swim and doing swim lesson programs that used to be offered in our community.
Secondary students in Williams Lake can opt for to take an aquatics program.
The aquatics program is available for credit from Grade 8 to 10, similar to the hockey program, and there is a limited number of seats for each class.
