Crew and equipment will be back on site for the Highway 20 at Hodgson/Dog Creek Road improvement project in June.

The Ministry of Transportation and Transit said in a website update while erosion mitigation construction at the Dog Creek Slide area is completed, geotechnical investigations and analysis, and surface water management upgrades for the ancient Hodgson Slide are ongoing.

Starting in June and continuing for about two months, crews and equipment will continue work to upgrade drainage infrastructure throughout the project area, including at the Highway 20 and South Lakeside Drive intersection with some roadside ditch improvements.

Specifically there will be roadside ditch improvements, culvert installation, grass seeding and paving  in the upper project area - Richard Road, Bann Road, Opal Street, Shaw Road and Roberts Drive.

On Wotzke Drive in the Terra Ridge area there will be culvert installation, ditch improvements, grass seeding and paving.

The City will be doing some vegetation clearing at the reservoir area and there will be grass seeding on the Dog Creek Slide site.

There are two slides - the Hodgson Slide, which is described as an ancient slow-moving slide located mostly south of Highway 20 and the smaller Dog Creek Slide west of the Hodgson Slide.
