Nanaimo woman arrested after altercation with driver in Oak Bay

An altercation led to a woman's arrest in Oak Bay last week.

At 9:20 a.m. on June 20, Oak Bay Police responded to a report of an assault in the 1100-block of Beach Drive, near Anderson Hill Park. 

At the scene, officers determined that a man and woman from the Nanaimo area had an altercation while in a vehicle, and the man was allegedly struck several times by the female passenger.  

The officers arrested the woman with charges recommended for assault. She was later released with a court date.
