Williams Lake volunteers celebrated at city barbecue

April 27 to May 3 is National Volunteer Week

Volunteers filled up on a warm lunch of hot dogs, salad, chilli and dessert at the volunteer appreciation barbecue hosted by the City of Williams Lake on April 30.

"We always said, every community is known by their volunteers," said Mayor Surinderpal Rathor while stationed at the barbecue, adding this is one way the city can show its appreciation for the hard work done by volunteers.

The barbecue was held at the Williams Lake fire hall.
