A Williams Lake man was arrested last week for an alleged breach of conditions, and released again on conditions.

Travis Storoschuk, who was released on April 17, 2025 after spending 153 days in pre-trial custody and then sentenced to a total of 214 days in jail, was back in custody overnight on Thursday, May 29.

Storoschuk appeared in Williams Lake virtual court on May 30 and has since been released on conditions once again.

During his April appearance, Storoschuk had entered guilty pleas to some of the charges he was facing, which included unauthorized possession of a firearm, breach of conditions, assault, breach of a curfew order, assault of a peace officer with intent to resist arrest and disobeying a court order in regards to a no contact order.

Storoschuk had been found to have breached conditions multiple times while awaiting court appearances on his initial charges, resulting in further charges being brought against him.

At the sentencing in April, the judge cautioned Storoschuk against breaching his conditions and his defence lawyer said he believed his client had gotten the message regarding complying with conditions. Storoschuk was released at the time to serve 24 months probation. The conditions of his release in April included not owning or possessing weapons of any kind, attending counselling, substance treatment and a no contact order.

Storoschuk is scheduled to appear in court again on June 11, 2025.
