Williams Lake RCMP and Williams Lake Fire Department will face off to fundraise for KidSport. Fire Chief Evan Dean, KidSport (Williams Lake chapter) president Rick Miller, and S/Sgt. Brad McKinnon.

In an epic battle of bragging rights, Williams Lake RCMP and Williams Lake Fire Department firefighters will be battling it out on the ice.

The RCMP and paid on call firefighters will face off in a fundraising hockey game event to help ensure more young people in the area can participate in sports activities.

Members of both local emergency responder organizations will be strapping on skates and stepping on the ice to help raise funds for KidSport in Williams Lake, an organization which helps pay for children to participate in sports activities they might otherwise not be able to afford.

The game will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 7 pm at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Centre. Tickets are $10.

Tickets to watch the game are on sale now at Foundry Cariboo Chilcotin, 51 4th Ave. S Williams Lake, Williams Lake RCMP Detachment, 575 Borland Str. Williams Lake, BGC Williams Lake Club, 51 S 4th Ave. Williams Lake, and Cycle Logic, 271 Oliver St. Williams Lake.
