A heavy police presence in downtown earlier this week in Quesnel resulted in the arrest of one man, say Mounties.

On Thursday, Jan. 25, Quesnel RCMP arrested a 33-year-old man on outstanding warrants. The man was arrested without incident and the RCMP thank the media and general public, stated Quesnel RCMP.

It is believed the suspect arrested was Shadow Laflamme, who was wanted on numerous unendorsed warrants from both Powell River and Quesnel.

Mounties had issued a news release seeking the public’s assistance in locating LaFlamme at the beginning of January. In that press release, RCMP said he was considered “dangerous and should not be approached.”
