People have been enjoying the efforts of Jerry Nutter who has cleared and maintained a skating path on frozen Williams Lake.
"I mostly did it for my grandchildren," he said Sunday as he was returning from a walk with his wife and another couple along the path he began making once the ice was thick enough on the lake. "I'm glad lots of people are enjoying it."
Williams Lake received snow overnight Saturday so he cleared it again on Sunday, which he said takes about an hour.
With Environment Canada's forecast indicating the temperatures will be above zero by Wednesday, there may be only a few days left to enjoy getting out on the lake, which always adds a nice dimension to outdoor winter activities in Williams Lake.
Williams Lake city councillor Scott Nelson also cleared a path on the north side of the lake.
The Tribune walked from Scout Island out and back Sunday for a two-and-half-hour walk using the paths created Nelson and Nutter.
