VIDEO: John Margetts excited to be the 2025 Stampede Parade marshal

John Margetts said it's an honour he was selected

John Margetts said it's an honour he was selected to be this year's Williams Lake Stampede Parade marshal.

A Williams Lake Stampede volunteer for at least 30 years and a former hockey player in Williams Lake, he was the perfect choice for this year's parade with a theme of Hockey is our Game.

We caught up with Margetts Friday, June 27, as he was setting up signage for parking attendant volunteers who will be working at the gates into the Stampede grounds.

The Williams Lake Stampede begins today and goes through until the fourth and final rodeo on Monday, June 30.

The parade begins downtown at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28.
