UPDATE: Columneetza school in Williams Lake open after water line break

School District 27 announced the campus is closed and buses are cancelled

UPDATE: Columneetza Junior Secondary School opened back up on Thursday, Jan. 18, after a water line break caused the school to close on Wednesday, sending students home.

Students at Columneetza Junior Secondary School are getting a snow day on Wednesday, Jan. 17, but it’s not due to the snow.

School District 27 announced a water line break, causing the closure and shutting down the Columneetza campus today. Buses have also been cancelled.

SD27 said that those already en route to the school would be redirected and arrangements made to bring students safely back home once they’re in touch with their families.
