Emergency services will be temporarily unavailable as of noon on Friday, Feb. 14 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Williams Lake.
People facing life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pains, difficulty breathing or severe bleeding, should call 911. Emergency services can be accessed at 100 Mile District General Hospital in 100 Mile House, GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel or Bella Coola General Hospital in Bella Coola during this time.
All other inpatient services continue to operate at CMH.

Interior Health announced the temporary closure at 10:07 on the morning of Feb. 14. No reason was given for the service interruption.
This is the first interruption in the Williams Lake ER since August 2024.
