Temperatures drop for Williams Lake, Bella Coola

Williams Lake and Bella Coola will see sunshine and temperatures below freezing

The sun is shining and the temperature is dropping in Williams Lake as the forecast is for a cooler weekend. 

Environment Canada and Climate Change indicates the high on Friday, Jan. 17 will be -4ºC and the low of -6ºC, although with the wind chill it wil be -11ºC.

For Saturday, the high will be -9ºC with a low of -12ºC and on Sunday a high of -6ºC and a low of -14ºC. 

In Bella Coola, the high for Friday, Jan. 17 is 1º with a low of -4ºC and a wind chill of -6ºC. 

On Saturday the high will be zero and with a low of -5ºC and Sunday the forecast is for a high of 1C and a low of -6ºC.

The Tweedsmuir Ski Club will be hosting a brunch and ski potluck on Sunday, Jan. 19 beginning at 11:30 a.m.

As of Friday morning, DriveBC is warning of slippery conditions from 16 km east of Bella Coola to Williams Lake along Highway 20.
