Street closures slated for sewer work in Williams Lake postponed

A closure for Johnson Street and Sixth Avenue will not happen as planned Monday, March 18

The city of Williams Lake has postponed a street closure planned for a sewer service repair near the intersection of Johnson Street and Sixth Avenue March 18 and 19.

The work was to begin on Monday, March 18 and and through to the end of day Tuesday, March 19.

Once a new date is determined the community will be advised.

During this time the road will be completely closed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and flaggers will be on site.

There will be no access to Cariboo Memorial Hospital from Comer Street during this time. Hospital access will be available via Gibbon Street and Sixth Avenue.

The city of Williams Lake said staff will notify property owners impacted by the work.
