The Rotary Centre for the Arts is closing out its 2024–25 performance season with one of Canada’s most exciting young jazz talents.
The Anthony D’Alessandro Quartet will perform on Wednesday, June 25, bringing a night of rhythm, groove, and world-class musicianship to Kelowna.
Toronto-based D’Alessandro is quickly becoming a standout name in Canadian jazz. Known for his dynamic swing and sharp technique, the pianist, composer, and bandleader has performed at major venues like the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Smalls Jazz Club in New York, and Toronto’s Koerner Hall.
His 2024 debut album Searchin’ is earning high praise. Jersey Jazz Magazine called it “a gem of an album,” while French publication Paris Move described it as “uplifting and feel-good.” One of his standout compositions, Tune for Monty, was featured on CBC Music’s “Songs You Need to Hear.”
D’Alessandro will be joined by Benny Benack III, Ernesto Cervini, Jonathan Chapman, and guest Zachary Griffin.
“There’s something here for all jazz lovers,” says Andrew Stauffer, the RCA’s Theatre Programming Director. “Anthony’s compositions draw on a variety of jazz styles—calypso, swing, waltzes—and the quartet executes them wonderfully.”
Tickets are on sale now, and there’s a special offer for music fans aged 30 and under—30 per cent off regular ticket prices.
While the D’Alessandro show wraps up the 2024–25 RCA Presents season, the Rotary Centre has more plans. On Wednesday, June 11 at 7 p.m. the public is invited to a free Launch Party to kick off the 2025–26 season.
The event will feature live performances, season previews, and big announcements. Seating is limited, so it’s a good idea to reserve early.
