Two-time JUNO award-winning indie artist Aysanabee is looking for local Indigenous artists to submit applications to join as openers as he brings his sophomore album, Edge Of The Earth, to Victoria's Wicket Hall on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Following the success of his Now and Then 2025 winter tour through Eastern Canada, the Oji-Cree singer-songwriter will be bringing The Way We’re Born Tour to B.C. and the Prairie provinces in celebration of the new album, set to be released by Ishkōdé Records on June 20.
“Sharing the stage with Indigenous artists on my first-ever headlining tour has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Each night, I’ve felt inspired, humbled, and immensely grateful for the new friends I’ve made. I’m beyond excited to continue uplifting these incredible talents on The Way We’re Born Tour,” he said in a news release.
Last year, Aysanabee's second album, Here and Now, won Alternative Album of the Year at the JUNO's, while also winning songwriter of the year for his songs Alone, Here and Now, and Somebody Else. He was also nominated twice, in 2023 and 2024, for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year.
