Vernon Fire Rescue Services doused a dumpster fire behind a downtown business Monday mid-day.
Crews were called around 12:30 p.m. to the Chevron off Highway 97 and 32nd Street.
The fire was inside a recycling bin.
The temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius at the time.
The Morning Star has reached out to VFRS to see if a cause of the fire is known.
