Downed tree leaves more than 100 without power in Crofton

BC Hydro crews responding as more than 1,600 customers affected

More than 1,600 BC Hydro customers in the Crofton area are without power due to a tree down against power lines.

More than 1,600 BC Hydro customers in the Crofton area were temporarily without power on Thursday, June 5.

The outage was first reported at 1:53 p.m. 

According to BC Hydro, the outage affected 1,658 customers in the area north of Herd Road. The outage was caused when a tree trimming crew was working around the power lines and a branch came in contact with the line.

Power was restored by 3:44 p.m.
