It is definitely feeling a bit more like winter in the Cariboo with ice beginning to form on Williams Lake.
The ice is visible near Scout Island and along other shoreline areas of the lake.
Environment Canada's week-long forecast indicates temperatures will be dipping down in the double digits at night beginning Friday, Dec. 13 and then on Sunday, Dec. 15 the high during the day is predicted to be -10ºC and -12ºC on Monday and Tuesday Dec. 16 and Dec. 17.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11, DriveBC is warning drivers of slippery sections along Highway 20 and on the Horsefly-Likely Road.
There are also slippery sections in and around Williams Lake on side streets to watch for.
It will be interesting to see if the lake freezes over completely this winter and if it does, when that will happen.
