Williams Lake city council voted in favour of a request to observe Transgender Day of Visibility in the city on March 31, 2025.
Council supported the request and voted to change the lights of city hall to the closest colours they could to reflect the transgender flag.
While the city hall lights do not go pink, they will be blue, purple and white on March 31 in recognition of the visibility of transgender people in the city.
