Beginning Sept. 3, 2024 BC Transit riders should expect a few changes around scheduling in Williams Lake.
The service change will see trip times altered to add additional runtime into the schedule to improve service reliability, confirmed a BC Transit spokesperson.
"Feedback we’ve received from our customers and operating partner in Williams Lake is that with the existing schedule, buses would sometimes run late, particularly in the winter and during periods of inclement weather," noted the transit spokesperson. "To coincide with the implementation of NextRide, which took place in late June, we’re introducing a schedule for the Williams Lake Transit System that’s more reflective of actual operating conditions."
It is expected, with the alteration of trips and trip times, BC Transit will have better on-time performance and improved reliability for customers.
