The annual Brentwood Bay Festival, a beloved community tradition, returns Saturday, June 7, at HEL,HILEC Park.
With the theme "Rooted in the Community," this year's festival promises a day of fun, music and connection for all ages.
The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m., hosted by the Central Saanich Lions Club, followed by a parade starting at 10 a.m. from Bayside Middle School, culminating at HEL,HILEC Park.
Opening ceremonies will commence at the main stage at 11 a.m., setting the stage for a day of live music featuring talented local artists such as Seth Muyaba, Madi & The Dads, Nate Harris and Auntie Kate and Uncles of Funk.
Beyond the music, the free festival offers a wide array of activities, including kids' art projects, mini golf, a bouncy castle and a diverse selection of delicious food vendors.
Board Game Cafe will also be present in activity room A of the library building next to the stage, offering a variety of board games for attendees to enjoy.
In line with the theme, Brentwood Bay Community Association invites everyone to become a "friend of the festival" by contributing $25 or more to support Music in the Park throughout the summer.
Donations can be made via e-transfer to brentwoodbayinfo@gmail.com by June 2 to be listed on the sponsor board.
Anonymous donations are also welcome.
