The sounds of Seaton Secondary will be at full volume and on full display.
Sonic Soundfest takes place Thursday, May 22, from 6-9:30 p.m. at the Vernon school. It's a public event featuring live, local music artists.
"It will showcase the upcoming talents of student bands," said Soundfest's Emily Schwartz. "There will be a concession, door prizes, and more."
All proceeds go to the Grey Ribbon Campaign, an organization that raises funds to enable ground-breaking research and provide treatment for people with brain cancer.
"The Grey Ribbon Campaign was started by a former Seaton student, and one of our club members has a close connection with the organization. We wanted to support a cause that had a personal connection to our club, and local community."
Tickets for Sonic Soundfest are $10, and are available at Ratio Coffee and Pastry, Ebenezer's, Bean to Cup, La Carraia, and at the door.
"Please join us to support a good local cause, and sing and dance along to live music from young artists in our community," said Schwartz.
