In celebration of Earth Day (April 22), 38 kindergarteners from the Qualicum Beach Elementary School dispersed native wildflower seeds onto the Pollinator Pathway along Hoylake Rd West in Qualicum Beach. Teachers Kayla Mohr and Ashley Kuramoto has taught them well as the enthusiastic kindergarteners told Mr. Tom, that bees, insects, and songbirds liked these wildflowers and could pollinate all sorts of plants. These young students are well on their way to understanding and appreciating biodiversity and ecosystem health. In 2024, the Parksville-Qualicum Foundation provided funding through the Small Neighbourhood Grant program.
