Williams Lake youth organizations cash in on Operation Red Nose

Monies raised by the safe rides over the holiday season were distributed to youth organizations

Operation Red Nose (ORN) ran for nine nights on Fridays and Saturdays during November and December of 2023.

The volunteer teams consisted of the parents of children enrolled in some local non-profit youth groups.

Those groups this year are the Cariboo Chilcotin Gymnastics Association, Cariboo Chilcotin Youth Fiddlers Society, Camp Likely, and Williams Lake Hockey Association U18 Girls.

Citizens on Patrol volunteers also helped support the ORN coordinator in answering phones and dispatching the rides.

Bob Sunner, Ric Northcott, Neil Sukert, Dale Benastik, Albert Slavik, and Ramandeep Singh all lent a helping hand.

Each youth group was presented with approximately $3,000.00 from the donations received during the nine nights of operation.
