Williams Lake seniors enjoy fashion, fun and cheesecake

'It was a no-brainer," said organizer Tina Derksen

A popular event at the Williams Lake Seniors Activity Centre made a successful return on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Cheesecake and You, organized by Tina Derksen raised $1,200 and provided women with a lunch, a chance to visit and a glimpse into some new spring fashion.

"This event was intended to bring back the fun times before Covid came crashing in," Derksen said. "There was a party atmosphere in the room and smiles at every table."

Eva Navrot was the MC for the fashion show and Derksen said they all loved making the day happen.

"It was a no-brainer," Derksen said. "With fabulous fashions from Suzanne and Jenny's and the best cheesecake ever it was a slam dunk!"
