A barred owl was spotted by walker Chloe Dickey recently in the Fox Mountain area.
Dickey was walking near Mason Road when she spotted the owl perched up in a douglas fir tree.
She used the cell phone app Merlin to help her identify the barred owl, and sent in photos of the animal to share with the community.
