Dozens of people, including Shane Volkmann and his son Kristian, 7 (in front), took part in the Walk for Autism Awareness on Saturday, April 2 — World Autism Awareness Day. The three- to five-kilometre walk started off at the Child Development Centre on Second Avenue and finished back at the CDC where refreshments, snacks, and activities were enjoyed. The walk was held to bring together families, friends, teachers, and service providers to raise awareness about autism.
