'Tis the season for yard sales to start springing up, and the District of Sicamous Development Corportation (DOSDC) is taking a coordinated approach.
The DOSDC is holding a Sicamous Community Yard Sale Day from that all households are welcome to participate in. Anyone who's cleaning out their closets and wants to join can do so online at exploresicamous.ca/sicamous-community-yard-sale.
There is a minimal $5 fee to register their address and be included in advertising and identified on the community map, with all proceeds from that being donated to the Eagle Valley Community Resource Centre. Yard 'saler' customers can then use the map to hit up all the participating locations in a one day blitz.
The Yard Sale Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, but participating households must be registered and paid before May 15 to be included. Payments can be made by e-transfer to info@dosdc.ca with your address in the notes, or in person on May 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DOSDC office at 217 Finlayson Street.
