A new type of market has started in Castlegar and organizer Gary Verigin is hoping locals will come check out the diverse array of vendors.
The Tuesday Night Market, as its name implies, takes place on Tuesday nights from 4-8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Sandman Hotel.
The market goes beyond the typical craft and farmers market as it is open to any sort of vendor with any type of item to sell.
The market has been running for about a month now and 20 different vendors have participated, selling things from jewellery, toys and baking to old records and antiques.
One sector that Verigin is really hoping will participate is local non-profit, youth or other service groups that are trying to fundraise. He hopes the market can help them reach their goals and spread the word about their projects.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor, the cost is $25 per week. Contact Verigin at 250-304-5298 or email tnmarket2025@gmail.com.
