The Lakers Car Club is ready to roll out for their Spring Roundup, happening on May 25 and 26.
Starting on Saturday, drivers of vehicles participating in the annual car show will have the chance to show off their wheels and win some cash, by participating in the poker run, collecting cards from businesses around the community between noon and 3 p.m.
Then drivers can also show off their shine in the car cruise, which starts at the Tourism Discovery Centre at 4 p.m. and rolls through the city, going by the seniors homes en route.
Lakers Car Club encourages the community to come out and cheer on the drivers and help celebrate the classic cars.
The cruise will end at the Chances Casino, just in time for the buffet dinner at The Point Restaurant, starting at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $30 and open to the public, supplies permitting.
On Sunday, May 26, the main event will see gates open up for participants at 8 a.m., and for patrons of the car show at 10 a.m. to come and see the entries lined up on Oliver Street and First Avenue until 3 p.m.
The first annual Spring Festival will also be taking place in the adjoining blocks, with something for the whole family.
