Williams Lake First Nation presents the traditional Father's Day Traditional Pow Wow at Chief William Pow Wow Arbor, 2851 Highway 97S. Grand entry Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. More than 30 vendors, Lahal games, senior women's warrior and junior women's warrior pageants plus brave pageant. Free admission, everyone welcome.

WL Forestry/NAPA Thunder Mountain Speedway is having its season opener June 15 featuring the WESCAR Touring Series. Along with WESCAR, there will also be hornets, street stocks, legends and a mini hit to pass. Spectator gate opens at 3 p.m., racing starts at 6 p.m.

Move to Cure ALS in Boitanio Park. Registration is a 10 a.m., event kicks off at 11 a.m. While a barbecue, live music, cake walk, kids activities, a 50/50 draw, garage sale, raffle baskets and more will be part of the day, the main event will include registered participants walking or rolling through the park to raise awareness about amytrophic lateral schlerosis.

Westsyde Boogie Trail Race 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Runners can expect uphill climbs, amazing views and cruisy downhills, all along flowy and technical single track. Registration is online.

Williams Lake Community Band concert Gwen Ringwood Stage Thursday evening, starting at 7 p.m. Celebrate solstice with music, including pieces with student musicians.
