Whether a puck is sniped top shelf or a soccer ball is rifled into the back of the net, everybody wins at the 16th annual McElhanney Cares Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon Charity Hockey & Soccer Tournament.
The annual event hosted by McElhanney Ltd. is taking place at MNP Place on Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24.
Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $600,000 for Ronald McDonald House, providing critical support for families with children receiving medical treatment far from home. All proceeds raised at the event go directly to Ronald McDonald House.
“This event has raised critical funds for families in need over the last 15 years and represents one of the largest single-recipient community fundraising efforts in the province where 100 per cent of the proceeds support RMH BC directly,” said Richard Pass, CEO of Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon.
A week ahead of the event (May 16), more than $60,000 has already been raised for the event. Throughout the two days, there will be a 50/50, a silent auction, and raffles.
The full tournament schedule can be found on the McElhanney Ltd. website.
