This historic photo is of Vermilion Avenue taken about 1962. The building on the left is the Masonic Hall which is facing imminent demolition. The building in the rear was the first Burr Motors garage, one of the earliest Ford dealerships in BC. The Board of Trade had information signs downtown for many years advising tourists of the fishing opportunities. The cabin was the first Museum building erected in 1958. Behind the cabin is the Burr family barn that still serves as storage for the Town Works. Far in the rear of the photo is one of the Burr family cabins that they rented out.
