GALLERY: WLFN pumpkin patch a hit

There were 800 pumpkins to choose from

Hundreds of people of all ages are enjoying the Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN) Pumpkin Patch Thursday, Oct. 17 in the lakecity.

Held at the former Poplar Glade School property, which WLFN purchased in June 2022 from School District 27, there were 800 pumpkins to choose from when the event opened at 4 p.m.

It was expected to go until 7:30 p.m., said one of the organizers Kyleen Toyne, social development coordinator for WLFN.

"Things are going great," she said at around 5:30 p.m. "There was a lineup for the first hour and a half to both entrances."

This year they've added a few carnival games and Lasha McIntyre Photography is on site taking photographs by donations.

There is also a cake walk, bouncy castles, hot dogs, hot chocolate, bannock and two bonfires on site.

This is the third annual pumpkin patch presented by WLFN.
