A flock of ducks had a family reunion thanks to fast acting staff at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD).
After a passerby noticed some distressed ducklings trapped under a grate in the CSRD parking lot on Wednesday, May 21, a handful of staff got “quacking” on a rescue mission.
“Thanks to their quick alert, a handful of staff were able to step in and safely rescue the little ones and reunite them with their mother,” said the CSRD in a social media post. “A huge thank you to everyone involved, your kindness and teamwork made all the difference!”
No word yet on whether the CSRD will put the rescue on the duck’s bill or just let it fly.
