Canada Day events in Williams Lake saw downtown streets and parks packed with fun for the whole family.
The weather went from overcast to sunshine, a brief shower and then wind, none of which seemed to deter crowds.
The Summer Street Fest on Second Avenue between Oliver Street and BorlandStreet was packed for the modified street party event, organized at the last minute by the Potato House Society.
Bouncy castles, kept young attendees entertained while food vendors, booths and a deejay provided something for everyone.
Kit and Kaboodle also once again hosted the micro Stampede Street party at Hodgson Place Mall. The mall parking lot was filled with fun games for prizes, more food, live music and vendors selling Indigenous beadwork, ribbon skirts and more.
For those who wanted more, Canada Day celebrations in Kiwanis Park picked up after the street party ended at 2 p.m. Events in the park included giant chess and checkers, a bouncy waterslide, and a chance to ride a mechanical bull.
Williams Lake First Nation hosted a booth where visitors could make their very own Canada Day flag t-shirt.
