Concert stage set to rock at Williams Lake Stampede

There will be live music and performances each night

BC/DC's shows are legendary and have garnered a solid fan following. They are set to perform at this year's Williams Lake Stampede at the Let R' Buck Saloon.

The wildest show west of the Rockies will take centre stage once again in Williams Lake this weekend.

The 96th annual Williams Lake Stampede begins this Friday, June 28 and runs until Canada Day. The action-packed community event will include fun for the whole family, including a full set list of music and performers ready to rock the Sandtronic Concert Stage at the Let R' Buck Saloon.

The popular music and dance social event draws people from all over to the Stampede Grounds, after the rodeo events have finished for the day, for a night of live performances and entertainment.

Friday June 28

The Tumblin' Dice are set to return to the saloon stage for the third time and will be headlining the show for the second time. The high-energy country music tribute band consisting of lead singer and guitarist Ryan Evans, guitarist Thomas Morris and drummer Jamie Troy have been featured at many of Vancouver Island's country music venues over the years, most notably the Sunfest Country Music Festival in Duncan and Vancouver's Gone Country. They are also the house band for The Duke in Victoria. They will wrap up day one of the Stampede starting at 9:30 p.m. and will keep the party going until 1:30 a.m. 

Saturday June 29

On day two, The Tumblin' Dice will be joined on stage by Broken Hill and BCDC starting at 7 p.m. 

Broken Hill was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic and started out by playing covers before shifting over to playing their own original music. Lead singer and guitarist Krispin Studer is joined by rhythm guitarist Dave Sanders, Dustin Storoschuk on drums, and Struder's dad, Heino, on bass. The band is somewhere in between the middle of classic rock, indie and alternative music.

AC/DC tribute band BC/DC was form in 1999 in Nelson and has played in venues all over the world. The band members all go by aliases, and they and have successfully marketed the BC/DC name to become famous world-wide. Brian "Bon" Johnscottson is lead vocalist, Marc the Sharc is lead guitar, Magnus Hung is on rhythm guitar, Spliff Swilliams is on bass guitar and Simon Writeoff is on drums. 

Festivities will end once again at 1:30 a.m.

Sunday June 30

The Tumblin' Dice will be joined by Bad Moon Riders on day three of the Let R' Buck Saloon. The Bad Moon Riders are a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band that was formed in 2016, and consists of lead vocalist Mike Kelly, drummer Scott Young, lead guitarist Anthony Della Croce and Mike Nichie on bass. They have performed all over the province.

The performance will start at 7 p.m. and end at 1:30 a.m.

Monday July 1

The final day of the Stampede and Let R' Buck Saloon, Canada Day, will wrap up with a volunteer appreciation barbecue, by invitation only, starting at 5 p.m.
