It was a busy day in Boitanio Park Sunday for the annual Children’s Festival.

From face painting, to pottery, many games, a magic show and more, the festival was a great adventure for children and their families.

All activities were free of charge.

There was multiple face-painting stations, plus a magic show with Clint Grey, live music, multicultural activities, numerous games to play, painting, door prizes, a zip line and more.

Throughout the day Grey was making balloon animals for children.

The entertainment schedule included Flerobics Dance Fabiola, LeRae Haynes, the magic show with Grey, the Williams Lake Community Band, a Jr. Carabiners demonstratio and prize draws.

The Cariboo Potters Guild was also there with a booth where children could experience the stretchy fun property of clay and make little bowls and animals to take home if they liked.

Since May is Speech and Hearing Month the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre booth, manned by speech language pathologist Julie Hodder, had a game set up in which children could guess what an object in a tin was just from the sound it makes without opening the tin.

The CDC booth also included information for parents about early language and literacy services available in the community.
