Downtown Williams Lake Art Walk is returning to the lakecity Friday, August 9.
This year, art walkers can enjoy a variety of mediums displayed at 30 different downtown locations from the Aug. 9 opening until Wednesday, Sept. 4.
This year's event will feature new and returning artists alike - a total of 26 individual artists and four artist collectives are joining the Art Walk for 2024.
Participating art lovers can enjoy the Art Walk at their own speed over the three-week self-guided tour, stamping their way through the guide book as they go.
Completed stamp pages can be entered at any of the 30 locations for a chance to win ar $500 grand prize.
Guide books can be picked up at the Station House Gallery, Downtown Williams Lake BIA office, the Tourism Discovery Centre or any of the participating 30 locations.
This year's participating locations include: Do-More Promotional Ltd., Sandtronic Business Solutions, D&D Passports Xcetera, Kit and Kaboodle, Cycle Logic, Re/Max Williams Lake Realty, Williams Lake First Nation (Yortston office), Foundry Cariboo Chilcotin, United Floors, Shoppers Drug Mart, City of Williams Lake, Western Financial Group, Williams Lake Optometry, Johnston Meier Insurance, The Cariboo Cafe & Lounge, The Bean Counter Bistro, Cariboo Regional District Library (Williams Lake Branch), Williams Lake & District Credit Union, Sta-Well Health Foods, Bob's Footwear & Apparel, Salvation Army Thrift Store, WorkBC Centre Williams Lake, Lo's Florist, End of the Roll, Laketown Furnishings, The Realm of Toys and The Nerd Room, Harbourfront Wealth Management, Woodland Jewellers, and Walk Rite Shoes.
Downtown Williams Lake will be hosting a special opening day event on Aug. 9 in the Downtown Williams Lake BIA parking lot at 327 Oliver Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They will be facilitating a fun painting project, and handing out refreshments and guide books. Finish the Art Walk on opening day for a chance at winning an additional Art Walk prize valued at $150!
