Aritzia's store in Surrey has expanded to become the clothing retailer's largest Canadian location with the addition of an in-store cafe.
At Guildford Town Centre, the boutique is now home to B.C.'s first A-OK Cafe, serving espresso, micro-ground teas, hot and cold drinks, pastries and soft serve with customizable toppings.
"If you like your coffee with a side of shopping, come hang out," says a post on aokcafe.com. "Don't let snack-free shopping happen to you."
Founded in 1984 in Vancouver, Aritzia opened at Guildford in 2013. The retailer now operates more than 125 boutiques across North America.
At A-OK Cafe, drinks range from $4 to $6.50, yummybites604 (Stephanie) posted on Instagram.
"I had the Iced Matcha Latte but was a bit disappointed it didn’t have that strong flavour I’m used to. Apparently, they ran out of their @paragontearoom so ended up using a different one," she commented.
"Great! Eat the treats and don’t fit into the clothes you just bought," someone else posted.
"Finally the boyfriends/husbands have a place to sit," wrote another.
On the Lower Mainland Eats page on Facebook, Moema Cavalcanti posted about the new cafe.
"I had a cappuccino and my daughter went for an iced latte — both were delicious and well-made.
"Despite the store being quite busy, the service was friendly and efficient. We noticed some tempting pastries on display, but decided to keep it simple and stick to caffeine this time. Great job, Aritzia!"
